Cottesloe Rugby Club are excited to announce that this year we will be fielding U15s and U18s girls teams for the first time. The Juniors Girls program provides an important pathway for our female players between the existing Juniors program (up to age 12) through to the Womens Seniors team.

The Junior Girls teams are very lucky to have Debby Carley as their coach this season.  Debby had an impressive rugby playing career, representing Australia in both 7's and 15's rugby, was part of the 2009 World Cup winning team and was awarded the IRB World Women's player of the year in 2009. Debby moved into coaching last season and is showing the same promise of success in her coaching career; leading the WA State 7s team to their highest ever finishing position in the Nationals competition in 2016 and helping the SheGulls get the triple crown of the WA Alcohol Think Again! 7s series in 2017.

In addition to Debby we have 2 dedicated managers, Bronagh Crawley and Wendy Harper-Penman, who are ready to support the team along with the Cottesloe SheGulls.

All players are welcome whether you've played before or have yet to try your hand with the oval ball. Training is on Thursday nights from 5 pm at Harvey Field, Cottesloe, commencing on the 9th March 2017. The 2017 Junior Girls season starts on Saturday 29th April.

Wear sports gear and trainers (or boots if you have them) and bring a bottle of water to keep you hydrated. Invite your friends too, it's a great social sport and you're guaranteed to make lots of new friends along the way!
